What your report looks like
These are real sections from reports we have delivered — names and birth data redacted. Your report is written fresh from your own chart.

Drawn from the classical corpus
- बृहत्पाराशरहोराशास्त्रBrihat Parashara Hora Shastra — on grahas, bhavas & dashas
- फलदीपिकाPhaladeepika (Mantreswara) — on yogas & results
- सारावलीSaravali (Kalyana Varma) — on planetary effects
The reading
Lal Kitab is a remedial tradition distinct from mainstream Parashari Jyotish — its own grammar of chart-reading and, above all, its own famous catalogue of remedies (upaye / totke). It reads a fixed-house chart, speaks of planets as blind, sleeping, or active depending on their setting, identifies rin — planetary debts the soul carries (Pitra rin, the ancestral debt, chief among them) — and prescribes remedies that are deliberately simple, cheap, and physical: feeding certain things, donating or floating away certain items, small daily acts. Its appeal is exactly that the upaye cost almost nothing and require no priest.
This report presents Lal Kitab honestly and on its own terms. We do not dress it up as Parashari or claim the two systems must agree — Lal Kitab has its own logic, and we read your chart inside that logic: which debts the chart shows, which planets are blind or sleeping or active, and the specific upaye the tradition prescribes for your configuration, together with the equally important list of things to avoid (Lal Kitab is as much about restraint as about action).
Honest as always: we present the upaye as the tradition prescribes them, note that Lal Kitab is a separate remedial system rather than a superset of classical Jyotish, and where the chart shows no particular debt or affliction we say so rather than inventing a remedy to sell.
What you'll actually uncover
Read against the classics
- The chart is read in Lal Kitab's own fixed-house system — planets assessed as blind, sleeping, or active by their setting — which is a distinct 20th-century tradition, not Parashari, and we read it on its own terms rather than forcing the two to agree. [Lal Kitab]
- The prescribed upaye are the tradition's characteristic simple, low-cost totke — small physical acts, feedings, donations, and items to keep or discard — derived from your configuration and needing no priest or expensive item, exactly as the source frames them. [Lal Kitab]
- Restraint is treated as half the remedy: the things to avoid — the substances, gifts, and acts the tradition warns aggravate a planet in your particular setting — are given the same weight as the upaye, with no fear-selling around Pitra rin. [Lal Kitab]
What's included
Lal Kitab chart reading
Your chart cast and read in the Lal Kitab manner — its fixed-house framework and the tradition's distinctive house-and-planet interpretations — establishing how each planet sits and behaves in the Lal Kitab sense, which differs in places from the Parashari reading of the same chart.
Identification of rin (planetary debts)
The rin — the karmic/planetary debts the chart carries — identified by the tradition's rules: Pitra rin (the ancestral debt) where the configuration shows it, and the other debts (the debts of the self, of women/relatives, and so on) Lal Kitab recognises. For each debt present, what it signifies and how the tradition reads its effect on your life.
Blind / sleeping / active planet assessment
Each planet assessed in Lal Kitab's own categories — blind (andha), sleeping (sota), or active (jagrat) — according to its house and setting. This is central to the system: a sleeping planet must be "woken," a blind one handled with care, and the assessment drives which upaye apply.
The prescribed Lal Kitab upaye (totke)
The heart of the report: the specific, simple, low-cost upaye the tradition prescribes for your chart — the small physical acts, feedings, donations, and items-to-keep-or-discard that Lal Kitab is famous for. Each is given with what it addresses, how to do it, and the duration or frequency the tradition specifies. These are deliberately inexpensive and need no specialist to perform.
What to avoid
Equally important in Lal Kitab: the things not to do — the substances, gifts, colours, and acts the tradition warns can aggravate a planet's affliction in your particular configuration. Restraint is half of Lal Kitab's remedial logic, and this section is treated with the same care as the upaye.

Frequently asked
- Is Lal Kitab the same as my regular kundali reading?
- No — it's a separate tradition with its own way of reading the chart and its own remedies. We present it on its own terms. Many people commission it alongside a classical reading; the two are complementary, not interchangeable.
- Why are Lal Kitab remedies so simple and cheap?
- That's the defining feature of the tradition — the upaye are deliberately small physical acts (feeding, donating, floating items away) that anyone can do without a priest or expensive items. We prescribe ones you can actually follow given your constraints.
- What is "Pitra rin"?
- In Lal Kitab, rin are planetary/karmic debts the chart carries; Pitra rin is the ancestral debt, read from a specific configuration. Where your chart shows it, we explain what the tradition says it means and the simple upaye it prescribes — without fear-selling.
- What's not included?
- Lal Kitab is its own remedial tradition; this report presents it on its own terms and does not claim it overrides or merges with classical Jyotish.
- It is not a full Parashari life reading — for that, see Kundali Analysis. The two can be commissioned together.
- We prescribe the upaye; we do not sell or supply any items they call for (the point of Lal Kitab is that they're cheaply found yourself).
- Where the chart shows no notable debt or affliction, we say so rather than manufacture a remedy.
