What does my Janam Kundli show?
Start with the rising sign and Moon sign in the result. The planet table lists each planet's sign and house. The chart drawings bring those positions together.
The result also lists planet strength and planet combinations found in your chart. Generating the chart and reading its meaning are different steps.
How are houses counted from the rising sign?
Begin the house count with the rising sign, not the Sun sign. The first whole sign is house one. Following signs fill the remaining houses in order. A planet's listed house follows that same count.
How do I read the birth and marriage charts?
Read the main birth chart first for planet signs and houses. Then look at the marriage chart, made from nine divisions of each sign. Both charts are used when reading planet strength. Switching between North and South Indian layouts does not change the calculation.
How are my planet periods worked out?
The Moon's birth star supplies the starting period. The current-period strip shows shorter periods within the main one. Use the timeline to see dates for the main periods. This is the 120-year timing sequence, not another chart drawing.
What does a house-counting example look like?
Suppose the rising sign is Aries. Aries fills the first house. The next sign, Taurus, fills the second. Gemini fills the third. Each whole sign fills one house. This is a counting example, not a person's birth chart.
What if my birth time is not exact?
Check the reliability of your birth time before treating house positions as settled. The rising sign changes roughly every two hours, so houses depend on that time. If birthplace lookup fails, use the manual coordinates and timezone fields. Do not substitute your current home for your birthplace.
