What is included

The reading

1Your 36-point score

All eight parts of the traditional matching score (Ashtakuta), with points won and lost. The table lists Varna (1), Vashya (2), Tara/Dina (3) and Yoni (4). It also lists Graha Maitri (5), Gana (6), Bhakuta (7) and Nadi (8). Bhakuta and Nadi carry the most points. We explain why a high total can hide concerns. A moderate score can also look sound.

2Both partners' Mangal Dosha

We check Mars from each partner's rising sign, Moon and Venus. Every traditional exception is tested, with the working shown. These include matching doshas, Mars's sign, helpful planet links, age and chart-position rules. We also check the relevant rules from Parashara and Phaladeepika. Nothing is assumed to cancel without checking your charts.

3Other matching checks

We check Nadi, Bhakuta and Gana concerns beyond Mars, including the rules that soften them. These include matching birth-star sections and matching ruling planets. Where relevant, southern matching checks called Rajju, Vedha and Stree-Dirgha are included. Each result says whether the concern remains after exceptions.

4Your fit and friction

We place each partner's planets on the other's chart. Each chart's marriage part, Venus, Jupiter and Moon sign are checked. We compare feelings and the chart's view of home, money, family, talking and closeness. You see where the pairing looks helpful and where the charts show clashes.
