What your report looks like
These are real sections from reports we have delivered — names and birth data redacted. Your report is written fresh from your own chart.

The reading
Sade Sati is the roughly seven-and-a-half-year period when transiting Saturn moves through the 12th, 1st and 2nd signs counted from your natal Moon. It is one of the most talked-about — and most misunderstood — transits in Jyotish. The popular image is of seven years of unrelenting hardship. That is not what the texts say, and it is not what we will tell you.
Saturn is the great teacher and the lord of discipline, labour, time and consequence. A Sade Sati can certainly bring slowdown, responsibility, separation from comfort, and a forced maturing — but its actual texture depends heavily on Saturn's dignity in your own chart, which houses he rules from your Lagna, his ashtakavarga strength over the three transit signs, and which of the three phases you are in. For some charts Sade Sati is genuinely a building period that consolidates career and character. For others it is demanding. This report tells you honestly which one yours looks like.
We do not predict catastrophe and we do not sell amulets out of fear. Where your chart shows Saturn well-placed and the transit signs strong, we will say so plainly. Where it is genuinely hard, we will name the area and the timeline so you can plan, not panic.
What you'll actually uncover
Read against the classics
- Each of the three phases is read from where transiting Saturn actually stands relative to your natal Moon — the 12th, the Moon itself, and the 2nd — rather than lumping the 7½ years into one verdict. [Phaladeepika]
- Intensity is weighed proportionately against Saturn's own dignity and the houses he rules from your Lagna, so a quiet, well-placed Sade Sati is reported as quiet rather than dressed up as hardship. [Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra]
- The transit's effect is read by the gochara method, with each phase rated on its own merits — high ashtakavarga support over a transit sign is named as the softening factor it is. [Phaladeepika]
What's included
Your three phases with exact start and end dates
A clear timeline showing the first phase (Saturn in the 12th from Moon — the rising), the second or peak phase (Saturn over the natal Moon itself — the most felt), and the third phase (Saturn in the 2nd from Moon — the settling or exit), each with calendar start and end dates and Saturn's retrograde re-entries noted where they extend or repeat a phase.
Intensity assessment — because not all Sade Sati is harsh
This is the heart of the report. We weigh: Saturn's natal dignity (own sign Capricorn/Aquarius, exalted in Libra, debilitated in Aries, friend/enemy sign); whether Saturn is your yogakaraka or a functional benefic for your Lagna; the houses Saturn rules from your Lagna (a Saturn that owns good houses behaves very differently); and the ashtakavarga bindus on each of the three transit signs. High bindus over a transit sign genuinely soften that phase. We give each phase a plain rating.
Area-of-life impact
Read from the Moon and from the houses Saturn transits relative to both Lagna and Moon: where the pressure and the lessons land — career and reputation, home and mother, finances and speech, health and stamina, relationships. We name the likely zones rather than vaguely warning about everything.
The dhaiya distinction
A clear explanation of the dhaiya / panoti (Saturn's 2½-year transit of the 4th or 8th from Moon — the Kantaka Shani / Ashtama Shani) and whether you are in one of those instead of, or alongside, Sade Sati. These are frequently confused; we separate them and date them.
Honest "good vs hard" verdict
A direct paragraph: is this Sade Sati, for your chart, primarily a building or consolidating period, a mixed one, or a genuinely demanding one — and why, in classical terms.
Saturn remedies, proportionate to your chart
Only what fits: Shani beej / Dasharatha-krita Shani Stotra / Nilanjana shloka recitation, Saturday daan (sesame, iron, black cloth, oil) and the discipline behind it, Hanuman upasana (the classical Saturn-softener), service to labourers and elders, and lifestyle or karma-yoga adjustments. If your Saturn is strong and well-placed, we will say remedies are optional rather than urgent. (For a broader annual practice plan, see Annual Remedies Calendar.)
Two follow-up questions

At a glance
Best suited for
- Anyone who has been told they are in Sade Sati and wants the real picture, not a scare
- People feeling a multi-year slowdown, fatigue or restructuring who want to know if Saturn is the cause
- Those wanting exact phase dates to plan major decisions — job change, marriage, relocation, investment
- Anyone weighing whether Shani remedies are actually warranted for them
- People who already had a generic reading and want a dignity-and-ashtakavarga-based assessment
How it works
- We compute your natal Moon sign and nakshatra, cast Saturn's transit over the 12th, 1st and 2nd from Moon, and overlay your Saturn ashtakavarga and natal dignity.
- We hand-review intensity per phase against classical Shani-transit rules (Phaladeepika, ashtakavarga method) rather than auto-generating a verdict.
- PDF delivered within 24 hours.
What we'll ask you

- What changes or pressures over the last 2-3 years prompted this report? (optional)
- Have you previously been told a Sade Sati start or end date? (optional)
Frequently asked
- Is Sade Sati always bad?
- No. The texts are explicit that a well-placed, dignified Saturn — especially one ruling good houses or sitting on high ashtakavarga bindus during the transit — can make Sade Sati a productive, consolidating period. We assess your chart specifically rather than assuming the worst.
- Can a remedy remove my Sade Sati?
- No remedy removes a transit; Saturn moves on its own schedule. What well-chosen remedies (mantra, daan, Hanuman upasana, disciplined living) do is reduce friction and help you cooperate with the lesson rather than resist it. We recommend them proportionately, not out of fear.
- How is this different from the dhaiya / panoti I keep hearing about?
- Sade Sati is Saturn over the 12th–1st–2nd from your Moon (about 7½ years). The dhaiya (Kantaka/Ashtama Shani) is a separate 2½-year transit over the 4th or 8th from your Moon. They are routinely confused. This report dates and distinguishes both for you.
- What's not included?
- We do not promise to end or neutralize Sade Sati — no remedy cancels a transit; remedies support you through it.
- No gemstone is prescribed here; Neelam is famously double-edged and gets its own dedicated, conditional assessment.
- This is not a full life reading; it is scoped to the Saturn transit. For a complete chart, see the Kundali Analysis or Deep Kundali Dive-In offerings.
- We do not predict death, divorce, or specific catastrophes from a transit.
