होली
The festival of colours, observed on Phalguna Purnima (Amanta). Holika Dahan, the bonfire ritual commemorating Prahlada's deliverance from the demoness Holika, is performed the preceding evening; Dhulendi — the play of coloured powders and water — follows at dawn. The festival is recorded in the Bhavishya Purana and the Narada Purana.
