Vasant Panchami
माघ शुक्ल पंचमी — सरस्वती, यानी विद्या, संगीत और कला की देवी, को समर्पित। वसंत के आगमन पर पीले वस्त्र पहने जाते हैं; किताबों और वाद्य यंत्रों की पूजा होती है; और यह दिन बच्चे के पहले अक्षर-लेखन के लिए एक शुभ विद्यारंभ मुहूर्त माना जाता है। देवी भागवत पुराण में इसी तिथि पर सरस्वती के प्राकट्य का वर्णन है।
शुक्र, 23 जन॰ 2026 — Magha Shukla Panchami -- dedicated to Sarasvati, the goddess of learning, music, and the arts. Yellow garments are worn to greet the onset of spring (vasanta). The day is auspicious for vidyarambha (initiation into letters) for young children and for the worship of books and musical instruments. The Devi Bhagavata Purana describes Sarasvati's manifestation on this tithi.
