Akshaya Tritiya
वैशाख शुक्ल तृतीया — अक्षय (कभी न घटने वाली) तिथि, जिस दिन किया गया कोई भी शुभ कर्म सदा फल देता है। भविष्य पुराण और स्कंद पुराण में उद्धृत, यह दिन गंगा का पृथ्वी पर अवतरण, परशुराम का जन्म, और त्रेता युग के आरंभ से जुड़ा है। परंपरागत रूप से सोने की खरीद, दान, और बद्रीनाथ मंदिर के दरवाज़ों के वार्षिक पुनरुद्घाटन से मनाया जाता है।

Cited in the Bhavishya Purana and the Skanda Purana, the day marks the descent of Ganga to earth, the birth of Parashurama, and the beginning of the Treta Yuga. Traditionally observed with gold purchases, dana, and the opening of the Badrinath temple doors.
